From 1st November, TBA’s Doncaster division has a change of leadership.
Responsible for the bulk terminal operating system CommTrac, as well as its industrial automation services, TBA Doncaster has a presence in over 50 sites around the world.
After many years as Managing Director, David Trueman has become a well-known name in the world of bulk and general cargo. “It’s been the privilege of my career to have led TBA Doncaster and seen it grow and develop into the organisation it is today,” reflected Trueman. “Thanks to our amazing colleagues, customers and partners, I’ve seen us grow from a small, niche software company into the international market-leader we are today.”
Chris Hicks joined TBA in 2021 and will be promoted from Director of Software to Managing Director. “Chris has proven his ability to lead the organisation and execute our exciting business plan,” explained Trueman. “I look forward to working with Chris in this new relationship and being around to offer my advice as and when necessary.”
Trueman will step into the role of Commercial Director, where he will continue to apply his wealth of knowledge and experience heading up the sales and marketing functions.
“I’m excited and honoured to become the new Manager Director of TBA Doncaster,” said Hicks. “This is a fantastic company with a dedicated and hugely experienced team. I’m looking forward to the opportunities ahead, working closely with David and my other directors to realise our full potential.”
“We have a unique position in the market and an enviable client base, but I believe our greatest achievements are still ahead of us as we continue to build on David’s legacy.”
